April

By Joann

It's April 30th, the last day of April. I've actually been waiting for this day to come and it seems like it never would but now, here it is! FINALLY!

I can't wait to start my Alphabiography!!! But I definetly won't stay up until midnight to post. That would just be weird for me.... VERY WEIRD. And don't you think I'm already crazy enough because I talk about squirrels, murder, cows, and ditches and unicorns and other crazy stuff that you probably wouldn't want to hear about.

Last days of the months are always weird for me because in my head I know it's the last day of the month, and if it's on a Saturday, sometimes, I think that it's really Sunday and then that I'm going to go to school the nxt day. I don't know why but I'm probably thinking that since it's the end of the month, and the new month is starting, that because it ended I have to go back to school or maybe it's just always a coincidence that I mix up the days every end of the month. I THINK NOT!

Happy 87 or 88 birthday!!!

By Andriana

Today is my grandpa's birthday and I am so excited. He is really old. I think that he is either 87 or 88 years old. But he is really old. I am going to go to his house and we are going to have a small quiet party for him. My grandma is going to make cheesecake.....by the way I love cheese cake. Then we are going to go to a jazz blues concert, which I really do not want to do but I have to go because he wants too. So that is it....he has a pretty boring birthday but he is old and still alive and that is what amkes him so cool.

The Fence!!!

By Hunter

Today during PE we have to play tennis. When we got out side it was not wet even if it was rain all day. We got there then Ms. H. told us to get a partner. I looked right at Malcom then he shakes his head in a yes. When we were passing the ball I hit it right over the fence. Malcom goes and runs to get the ball. While he was doing that I went to go be with Jack and Will. But before I did that I went to go tell Ms. H. where Malcom was. I saw that they were trying to get down a tennis ball off of a wall. I looked and saw a fence right next to it. Then I told Ms. H. I can go get the ball. I went all spider man on that fence. I was on the top of the wall in no time. There the ball was in like two feet away. I get the ball and throw it back I felt so happy for myself. Then I see another tennis ball fly over the fence. I yelled let me get it. I jump to the other side of the fence. I fell to a little bar to hold me so I can find a way down. I think I can jump into the tree, maybe I could slide down that pole. I thought I should take the smater way. I slide down the pole and throw the ball back over the fence. I run over to go find Malcom. I ran as fast as I could then I froze in my tracks. I hand started to burn in pain. I looked at my hand to see a cut about one to one-half of an inch. I told Ms. H. that I had to go to the nurse, she told me go right ahead. I ran and went right to the nurse. The nurse gave me a little band-aid. I went back outside to find that we had to go back in.

Life Lesson: Next time I should take the long way, so I don't get hurt.

Meanie Dentist Lady

By Tasnim

So, on Monday, after after school, or in simpler terms at 4:00, I got picked up to go to the dentist. I do't mind going to the dentist. I know some people are scared of it, or just don't like going, but it's nothing to me. I barely think about it. there are some things that I hate about going to the dentist though. like:
  • Not being able to get my homework done early.
  • The smell of the gloves that linger over my face as I'm getting my teeth cleaned/checked.
  • The after-feeling of wanting a GOOD mouthwash.
  • Gloves being all jammed up in your face.
Of course, these are minor things to me. Nothing to make me hate a place. But, I'm not very fond of this one dentist lady that seriously has some issues, as Joann would out it. Or would she more say "I should roast that lady like a squirrel on a stick in a ditch!"? Yeah. That's more like her. Okay, back to the story.
there are a series of things that this lady did to make me not like her. And it's not only me, my whole family despises her, and I'm sure others do too. Unless they like:
  • People who make a comment , and not a very nice one, just because you get 2, only 2 texts before she starts cleaning your teeth. Yeah. That wasn't very nice of her, and makes you realize that she isn't very patient either.
  • Giving you some weird channel to watch while she's cleaning your teeth. I mean, I don't watch that much TV, but it's nice to be distracted while someone's jabbing cleaning tools inside your mouth. Instead, I was forced to watch the nasty little needle thingy filled with my teeth stuff.
  • Not watching where she's putting the tools, or how she's picking it up. I had a lot of drool around my face.
  • One of the worst of all, she hurt me, hard. I can still feel it. Okay, so you that sucking water thingy? well she was using that along my teeth, all smooth rolling along, and then, on the left side, she pushes it with all her might on my gum. that thing hurt. She hurt my gums, and my tongue. I think it has a scab on it, or something. Ugh! that wasn't my favorite part. I nearly broke my phone from squeezing it so hard.
  • When she pulled the sucking thingy out, my drool went flying everywhere. And all she did was say sorry in a slightly annoyed way. well EX-CA-U-OOZ me! but I think I'm the one that should be annoyed right now.
  • And then, when we pick up my mom, right after the dentist, I tell her about it, and she automatically assumes it's the same lady that I'm talking about. Obviously, there are some problems. she said that my family has to come every 4 months because our teeth were too dirty, when the real doctor  that checked on it said our teeth are beautifully clean. I think we need to check this degree or her's.
Now is it okay for me to dislike her? Well, I hope so, because I do NOT want her as my dentist cleaner lady ever again! Craziness!!!!

DRP Test

By Delgermaa

The test was making sleepy, I mean seriously. I literally slept for like 5 minutes until I finally woke myself up. That explains why I was like the last person to finished... I'm glad nobody noticed that I was sleeping. Ha-ha, I'm thankful that I do not snore! I really don't like tests that you have to read boring paragraphs about how insects lay their eggs. Well, that was pretty interesting, but yeah. I hope I didn't do bad...

Spring Break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

By Annabel

Before we left our house I had just learned that for spring break my family and I were going to Niagara Falls!!! I couldn't believe it. As my mom announced this over the phone my jaw dropped. I couldn't believe, Niagara Falls! I told my brothers and all they did was scream for the next ten minutes. At first I had no fear of Niagara Falls, but then my dad told me a story. The story, a true one, said that once while my dad's friend from work was there a little boy, about five, fell in and went over the falls and died. I couldn't believe it, that was in the back of my mind the whole vacation.

When we crossed the border over to Canada no one moved a muscle, everyone was silent. The guard asked my dad to open my door, so he could see all of the people. "O my gosh!" I thought to myself. "Don't do anything stupid!!!" I whispered back to my brother's. We made it across safely, and were off to our hotel. Our hotel is the tallest hotel in Canada and is right on the falls! When we arrived our room was on the 44th floor with a great falls view. The rooms each had a flat screen, but my room had a Jacuzzi.

We did so many great things at Niagara, such as: Journey Behind the Falls, where you could get drenched with the 38 million gallons of water pouring down Niagara every minute. We saw two IMAX movies about the falls, one of them being a 4D movie. There aren't enough words to describe how amazing Niagara Falls is or was, incredible is one of those words.

The ride home was sad. But I got to try new foods, and see the American Falls. Which were very cool, but my favorite were the Canadian falls!

Late Night

By Riittisha

Last night I was up till 1.. singing. Actually, I was up till 2, because I read for an hour. Anyways, why didn't I post at midnight yesterday?! I don't know, I answer myself. I was singing. I took breaks and went to WHWN and other places on the computer when I exhausted myself. I was singing for the talent show, and I said I wanted to do a song I had done before, but my Mom said lots of people had heard me sing that song, so I should do another one. I protested, because I really liked that song, and all the other songs she had chose were either too - boring, slow, long or hard words. So I really wanted to do my song... even if I did it before... it was a slightly slow... slightly, but it had a great beat and the song was so sweet. But I realized after I sang it, my voice wasn't sweet for that song anymore. Then my Mom found another song, and I gave in eagerly, because it was sweet, great rhythm, and short. 3 minutes, 1:30 of that was probably music. Now if I still remembered how to play guitar, my Mom would have made me, but since I forgot (Thankfully because the music had a ton of different notes), someone else would do it. Oh!! This is for the talent show... I'm singing the Nepali Anthem too with my friend Ayusha, my sister, Ayusha's cousin Angelle; my sister's friend and Nista, my sister's friend. They're all 6- so mostly Ayusha and I will be singing it, but they'll help in places. And the competition!! It's next weekend. Oh!! The dance passed already. That's all! I woke up at 8 surprisingly... considering I was up till 2.

I'm in New York!!!!!!!

By Marisa

Yola peepsicles!!!! I'm in New York right now on my grandparents (grandparents on mother's side) computer...... They have this huge house that's custamized for them. And since my grampa is crazy about the Adirondak mountains and hunting and guns and stuff, EVERY peice of furniture looks like it was fresh out of the woods. I mean, where ever you look, there's a picture of a deer or a gnome...... He also loves history. Like right now, he insists on going to a military museum that, we went to last time we came..... He also has a huge safe of guns....... Almost everyone of my relatives here have, like an addiction to the woods....... They can be really nice too. Although the houses are all woodsy and stuff, they're really homey and stuff you know? Like, they give you this warm feeling inside (I know that may sound cheesey and stuff, but it's true!). There has been a lot of bad luck in my family lately...... like, my Aunt Theo has cancer, my other Grandpa (grandpa on my dad's side)has cancer and my grandma has a really bad knee (grandma on my mother's side) It's sorta sad...... Well! Anyway, I've gotta go to that museum (ugh). So, bu-bye!!!!
P.S. I'm sorry I haven't been posting lately.....

Where do I start? annoying sister or guy stuck in elevator?

By Prashanth

Today I realized how annnoying having a sister's friend over for a sleepover is. I was trying to watch a brand new Victorious and Big Time Rush but I couldnt, all they did was keep talking and talking and talking louder and louder. I'm going to move on to the real topic now. Has anyone ever been stuck in an elevator? I had a sword fighting class end at 9:00 today and my friend Dan took the elevator. It broke down and wouldnt open at the 2nd floor. He yelled and banged, everyone heard him. By the time I checked there was Dan's dad and the sword master wondering how to get the door open. The sword master shoved his sword into the elevator door and tried to break it open but he couldnt. After a few tries he then called the fire department. In about 5 minutes they were here. 7 people came and started breaking the elevator door.

" You know Dan, when you get out of there we are going to make fun of you for riding that elevator" said the swordmaster. 1 minute passed and the elevator was open. The swordmaster took out his iphone and started taking pics of Dan, the elevator and some firemen. Soon we all left and went home. All of us learned a lesson. Whenever you can, take the stairs instead of the elevator.

And You Said the Gulf Had No Waves!

By Helen

Today was a laid back day on the beach, well kinda because the waves in the water were huge (just how I like it). You see my brother and me are used to big waves like on Bethany, Virginia, Cape May etc. We've been to the Gulf a bunch of times yet still we are bummed that theres not any waves. But today that totally was proved wrong like there were pretty big waves like as big as low tide on most east coast beaches. We even body surfed a lot of them! It was an awesome day in the Gulf!

Tucson Day 3

By Connor

Today, My family decided to go to the "Desert Museum" which is on a steep mountain. The place was filled with snakes, coyotes and piggish creatures. Even better was that I could see Mexican soil from everywhere that didn't have a cactus in front of it. Turns out that the museum was only like 5 miles from the Us-Mexican border. The hike was only 1/2 a mile so I wasn't that tired. So I went to the hotel pool and swam. I also brought my soccer ball to play, but there is not a lot of room to play. I AM BORED! goodbye earthlings

She sat waiting curb, waiting for the rain to hit her head. But it never DID.In fact, it was raining in front of her, and it did not even touch her. This was a true story.

Tradition

By Maeve

I am sure that all of you have your respectable traditons, some of you may go to the beach for the last two weeks of the summer, some of you may always eat pancakes on March 22 for every meal. Any way we all have our traditions, and as some of you may have concluded, I am going to talk about a traditon or two in this post.
Two traditions are being shown here in South Carolina, one of them is just that we come here every year. And we have been doing it for who knows how long. It just is a tradition that we love to follow. Another tradition was started here in South Carolina, around the third year that we came here. Ever since then, every time we stay at a place for a week or more, we break out a new puzzel to solve. We ahve been doing this for many years now, and I was afraid that this time we wouldn't have any puzzel to solve, but, when we got to the place that we were staying-one of the houses of a friend of my grandparents- there were two puzzels waiting on the table. Yes! Today we started to solve one of them, and it is really hard, because it is an oval in shape.
I hope that you are all having fun on your break! Because I sure am.

Spring Break Day 1: FREEDOM!!!!!!!!

By Bridget

Today is officially the first day of spring break!! And if you haven't noticed, it's raining. Which means, that my soccer practice was canceled. So that means it's possible that today is my only day to relax. So that's exactly what I am going to do. Since 8:00 a.m., I have been in the attic, laying on a giant bean bag chair with my eyes closed. I have to tell you, it's very quiet and calm up there. You can here the rain tapping against the roof and then going down the water vent things. The only problem is, I cannot enjoy it for much longer, because I have to go to the skating rink and practice again. But until then, I have to enjoy this glorious time.

Summertime American Dining

By Jay

Today is the first day that my family has had corn on the cob for awhile. I mean that makes sense because it has just been so cold and wintertime the last couple of weeks. I came home, and was welcomed by the information that we would be having an Summertime American dinner that would made up of corn on the cob, hot dogs and sausages, watermelon, and French fries! It was wonderful and I might even have to wipe some mustard off of my cheek! My watermelon was petty much a mess. I ate it and accidentally cut into one of the juiciest parts and some of my baby blue shirt has turned watery red! I think I need to brush up on my bar-be-que eating techniques! Are you ready for Summer? I need some more Spring first. Lets not get ahead of ourselves now.

Really SAD!!!!!

By Alex

Ok so not many people know that there's 1 thing, 1 thing that is bigger for me then soccer and music. It's wrestling. The best- wwe. So my friend told me that my favorite wrestler Edge retired. I at first didn't believe him because he was too young to retired. So I went at home and research it. I saw the whole show. I for first time in a long time, long long time, was breaking down. 1 tear. I couldn't help it. He was gone. He told that wrestling is never fake, that people brake bones and get injured. His last match was at the greatest stage of them all- WRESTLEMANIA!!!! He retired with the championship on his hands. He also said if he continued he would have to be in a wheel chair. When it was over, I was almost crying till he walked out and started shaking hands with everyone, I broke down!!!!!!

My Social Studies Test

By Syed

Today I was so scared in social studies when I was getting my test back. I thought I was going to get a D. I was so scared. Then when Ms. R. came to give me my test I closed my eyes and she handed it to me. I heard her laugh and that kind of woried me more. But then I opened my eyes and looked at my test. The first thought that came to my head was YES. I got a B. I was so surprised. I was happy and now when I give my parents my test to sign I don't have to worry about them screaming at me.

Spring Break!!!!!

By Alice

I'm getting freakishly excited right about now. Like a person should not able to hold this amount of excitement. It has to be dangerous in some way.

My dad is crazy. He thinks we can drive just about everywhere in about a day, in a Ferrari, no less, which has gas mileage like a pig, bad. First we have a Ferrari car show*, rain or shine, then we have to visit some dude dad works with, then we go to where we're hanging out for a week.

When we get to where we're staying for the week, I am going to totally, like withdraw into some kind of place inside me where I almost never go. I only need 6 things. My mountain bike, a drawing pad, pack of pencils, my eraser, my digital camera and my old backpack. We go out to a place in the mountains and there's a pond there. I bike, hike up the dam, hitch a ride in the back of Dad's pickup or walk there. I have a favorite place, a small hollow under a tree overlooking a stone drop down to the pond. I go down there whenever we're there.

Totally unrelated but today I got my 2nd Green Day CD and it has my 3 favorite Green Day songs: American Idiot, I Walk Alone, and 21 Guns. RANDOM THOUGHT!!!

*Dad bought a dark red Ferrari from one of his friends, seats four, with a black leather interior and he loves it. It is the most gorgeous car I have ever seen, including an Aston Martin and those cars are incredible to see and ride in.

Taste

By Chris

taste :
To perceive or distinguish the flavor of

My sister has severe allergies. She is allergic to milk, eggs, nuts, shellfish, and a bunch of seasonal things. Sometimes, she asks "What does Pizza taste like, how about cheese, what about chocolate?" So I was thinking (I know, a huge accomplishment for me) how can we taste so well, but not be able to describe simple things like cheese, pizza, peanut butter, even something as simple as eggs? How do we do it? How can we do it? Reply, and help me help my sister.

Hide and Seek

By Haben

Today my brother, my sister, and I were playing hide and seek. It was so fun. I hid in places where no one ever thought of and it took my brother and sister a while to find me. The bad thing about the game was that my baby sister which is 2 years old kept telling us where each person was. Whenever we counted she would count along. SHE IS SO ADORABLE! After hide and seek we sat down and played the Wii. We had an awesome day.

Car Wash!!!!

By Kimberly

There's only one way to describe the car wash today. That would be ... Amazing! It was not only a fundraiser but it was a place and time where friends can gather together for a school event. Yelling car wash every second or so might have scared a couple of customers and been fun, but the truly fun part began washing. Everybody would grab sponge and squeeze all of the soap and water upon someones head. Almost everybody got soaked but no one ever minded it. I'm pretty sure no one left the car wash without making at least one piece of good memory that will stick to them forever.

By Helen

Today I was at the car wash but I wasn't getting my car washed I was washing cars. It was really fun espically when you got to yell "car wash" to drivers. But it was also really cold and my hands and toes were numb. None of the cars really got dry though because all the drying rags were wet. We also were very wet from people splashing, pouring, squeezing and any other word you can think of that goes with putting water on someone. But it was still fun.

By Silvia

Okay, so my day was filled with:
Rice with vegetables( ewwwwwwwwwww........)
Wet sponges
and best yet:
Yelling at complete strangers.
As you know, today was the car wash for our school. (I don't know why we were supposed to have a car wash. Ask our school.) I came with my sister really early. (were talking at 8:30.) and so we stood at the parking lot waiting for more helpers arrived.
I wasn't until (:15 that someone showed up.
Then more people were coming, and apparently our team (Team 4, SOMEONE ERASED A LOT OF NAMES FROM THAT LIST! WHY???) job was to advertise our car wash.
So I stood with Evan and Sam, yelling at strangers. They made a song to go with our car wash, and it was pretty good.  Later, my throat started to hurt. So I just kept yelling more at strangers. ( Most of them ignored us, and some waved their hands at us.)
Later, I went to drying duty. (drying the car.) It made my hands very cold. But washing the car was even worse.  Your hands could literately freeze in the bucket of intense coldness equivalent to the Arctic Ocean at winter time. So my hands were as cold as a cube of ice. Luckly, we had to leave because my sister said that I would have caught another cold. (YOU COULD SEE YOUR BREATH , SO WHY DO A CAR WASH WHEN IT IS FREEZING???)
Then the next thing I knew is that I was in charge of the rice for our lunch.  Bad idea, since now we've got soggy rice. (I thought that the rice was burning. Should have stopped when the pan was over flowing....)K
LATER! GOT TO EAT MY SOGGY RICE!

By Lauren

Today we had our music department car wash, to raise money for our Hershey Park trip. I worked from 12:00 to 2:00 even though it went from 10:00 to 2:00. You were supposed to either wash or dry cars when they came in. But it was freezing, and we had to get wet. So I was drying when we got there since I had been told to wash last so then when you are all wet you get to go home. I dried for about 30 minutes (my hands were about frozen) when Mrs. T asked me if I wanted to go advertise. So of souse I did because it didn't get you all wet, and all you had to do was yell. So I went out and yelled and tried to get people to come for over an hour. By that time we only had 20 minutes left to wash cars, so I went and helped dry. Finally it was over and we were all frozen. We signed out and got a snack. Over all it was pretty fun, but could have been a little warmer. I think we raised enough money for everyone to go to Hershey and have fun!

By Jay

When I heard the news I ran around the house jumping for joy. It was a great moment in the most miraculous events in my family's life. Now for the moment when everyone is going to feel bad for all the nimble hands that participated in the car wash. It was the combination of bitter coldness and the suds that everyone at one point washed with. I believe, if you cannot open a zipper pocket with your numb hands, you deserve some well deserved heat. I know I could have used some of that stuff about an hour before I received any sort of warmth. For tomorrow Weather Man Jay foresees a blizzard, hail storm, and a warm front of air coming at around 12 noon. What more could we get this Spring, a tornado.

By Derek

Today was the car wash and it waso much fun. It was so cold. I was assigned to dry the washed cars and the rags/towels were so cold that I could not feel my hands. Then I started to wander off and then I was assigned to yell at the cars to come to the car wash. After like thirty minutes I started to loose my voice so me and my friend went to seven eleven for a break and we deserved it. Then he bought some nachos for us. MAN were they good. My friends nachos got stolen by an eighth grader so it sucked for him.

By Brooke

Today I went to the car wash for orchestra, band, and chorus and it was awesome! Other than the fact i almost froze to death it was a totally cool thing. When i arrived at the car wash around 12:00 p.m. I was assigned to hold car wash posters to get people to come. It was crazy because everybody was dancing, and screaming. When I got tired of that I walked over to where the people were actually washing the cars. Zoe" pulled me away and said(she was soaking wet),"You seriously don't want to do that it is way to cold! I should know." So instead I dried all the cars for a little bit with my friends but I really did want to wash a car so soon after drying five or so I went to wash them. It was fun and really crazy. I got wet, cold, and I was so numb. I dumped water on everyone who came my way and it made me laugh. But then and again they did the same to me. Luckily I had a bathing suit under my clothes. After I was frozen and I curled up in a ball on the pavement until Anna came over and offered me a jacket because mine was soaking. We ran around with signs until it was time to go and get a snack! Freezy fun! I seriously at the time thought I had frost bite on my open toes in my crocs and my fingers!

Zip-Lining (Part 1)

By Johanna

Friday was an exciting day for me.  We had a teacher work day, (unfortunate for my dad, who is a high school English teacher) and so my Girl Scout troop went to Terrapin Adventures, where you can zip line, do high ropes courses, and climb a tower.  (We were going to go the previous Saturday, but it was supposed to be rainy, and the trip got canceled.  I had done all my homework early, so I didn't have anything to do that day! ) So this Friday, I was glad that it didn't rain, even though it was kind of cold.  We went to Terrapin in two cars: my troop leader's car and Julianne's mother's car.  When we got there, we ate our lunch, and then got suited up.  They gave you a harness and a helmet.  The straps of my harness that were on my legs kept on loosening!  The helmet was cool because you could tighten or loosen the padding to make it fit better.  We went outside and walked to a ladder.  Our guide told us it was the safest ladder in the world because it had a ladder seatbelt.  It was true.  You got carabineered to a pulley, and it moved up as you did.  When I got to the top of the ladder, I stepped onto a small platform that did not seem stable, because whenever the guide would run across the ropes, it would shake.  I clung tightly to the pole, and the guide ran across.  At that moment, I realized that I was very high up (but not as high as I would be soon).  I had to walk across a rope, only it wasn’t tight.  All I had to hang onto was a rope near my head, so it was still scary, even though I was in a harness.  When I got across, I was hooked onto yet another rope, but this time, I had to jump off and zip line.  Before I jumped, I told the guide, “This is scary!”  When I jumped, it was so cool!  I zoomed down on the rope, just sitting in my harness, grinning and waving for the camera, and then spinning around backwards and then forwards again.  Then, I went passed another ladder and the line started going up.  I willed it to go the farthest that it could go before going back, but then it got stopped by a notch, and I went zooming backward.  A man stopped me at the ladder and un-hooked me from the zip line.  I climbed down, and then ran back to my fellow Girl Scouts, eager to do it again.  I sat on the fence and watched my friend, Kelsey, cross the rope timidly, and then joined in with my friends, encouraging her to jump.  “It will be fun!  Just jump!  You won’t fall!  Jump in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!  Come on!  Jump!”  She needed a lot of encouragement, because she is afraid of heights, even though she won’t admit it.  She finally jumped and went whizzing through the forest.  Even though we didn’t get to do it a second time, I am glad I did it, but I still want to do it again!  Tune in tomorrow (or maybe the next day) to see what happened next!  (Believe me, it is even better!)

MY TIME TO SHINE

 By Kelwyn

Well, I am usually quiet in every class, especially social study. I just wanted to say that in every class I am not going  to be quiet for now on.....I won't be shy or afraid. Sometimes when a teachers asks all of us a question I am scared because I might not get the answer right and the people around me make me nerves. And sometimes when I have the answer in my head and don't say it, the next thing you know someone else has the same answer and it CORRECT. I hate when that happens. So now on starting tommorow I will not be afraid! It's my time to SHINE!

Leftovers

By Jay

Tonight's five star feast is... leftovers! That is my meal for 3 days per week, and after the first time, well lets just say it's not the same. Today I had pizza, once again a leftover, but tonight's dinner was different. I made it myself in my new best friend; the microwave, mic for short! I had three pieces of that were from a  pizza half eaten from a couple nights ago. They weren't actually that bad, but I guess I just got really lucky. A usual night of leftovers leaves me eating a bowl of cereal for dinner. Leftovers are just cheats for parents! It leaves them smiling because they have done their job which is to feed the family, but they haven't really worked for it. I'm fine with that sometimes, but not too much. Besides, sometimes parents don't even like their leftovers!

Cherry Blossoms

By Brooke

Last night I had a sleep over and it was fun! We went to Facha Luna and then we watched most of Night and Day with Tom Cruise(cute) and Cameron Diaz. It was ok but we didn't get to finish it(sad face:( ). Then I got picked up and around 1:30p.m. we went to this place down town in D.C. called Eastern Market. I got a really good smoothie there,  a couple of homemade donuts(so good) and this totally awesome hat! After that we went to see the Cherry Blossom's so we took the Metro. When we got there it was so packed! It was also fun though. I had forgotten my tennis shoes at Zoe's and I had been wearing these boots that I hated so I simply took them of and started walking barefoot. Everybody told me not to but I did it any way not worrying about glass or splinters and we were on grass most of the time so it didn't really matter. The blossom's weren't as pretty as last year because thety weren't as pink. When we were my the water sitting on the grass I started doing cartwheels, handstands, and back walk over's. Everyone in my family also did it but to little success. My Mom did do a good cartwheel and my Uncle Rick held this one hand stand for a long time. When we left we went back on the metro and it was so packed! I'm home now waiting for a big dinner. BYE!
BROOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
p.s. Zoe" bring my shoes to me tomorrow, thanks!

Scared

By Claire

Ok, so I just looked on weather.com to see what the forecast is for today and on the home page it said, “Server tornado watches for April.” (That is not what it actually said.) So, I read the article about it and it really scared about the warm weather coming in. A brief summary of what the article said is this, throughout April and March the warm weather is coming in. So for the southern states this may be a tornado watch for the month. (I think this might be a warning for Georgia, Arizona, Texas, Kansas, and Louisiana). In the past years we have had many storms in Texas, and Alabama. There is more but I didn’t understand that language. So I am so freaked out because, Virginia is considered south. So I am really freaked out now. I have been in a tornado and it is really scary.

Fools

By Annabel

April Fools! I have fooled so many people today! With tricks that are really easy to figure out but people are to busy thinking about other things to really realize. Have you been fooled today! I have. April Fools day is an awesome day because you get to trick people, and then yell words in their face! How is that not fun?! One of my favorite tricks is telling someone to tie their shoes and they look down, but realize either that their shoes don't have laces or they're not even wearing shoes! I hope that everyone had a fun day! Happy April Fools Day!
